A walk around Marismas Blancas de Astillero is very interesting for birding. The trail is easy to walk and makes it possible to not only observe birds typical of reedbeds such as Zistensänger or Teichrohrsänger. Butalso birds from wetlands as Reiherente or Kolbenente, from coastal groves like Rotkehlchen or Zaunkönig or from bay waters like Eistaucher or Flußseeschwalbe. Like the rest of the wetlands in the area, it serves as a resting area for numerous migratory birds. It is also a breeding site for Kuhreiher.

Espagnol: Uno de los humedales de la zona suroeste de la Bahía de Santander. Combina charcas de marisma, bosquecillo y visibilidad de la propia bahía. Se trata de un paseo enormemente interesante, ya que, a parte de ser fácil de caminar, posibilita observar aves propias de carrizal como Zistensänger o Teichrohrsänger; de charca de humedal como Reiherente o Kolbenente; de bosquecillo costero como Rotkehlchen o Zaunkönig o de aguas de bahía como Eistaucher o Flußseeschwalbe. Como el resto de humedales de la zona, sirve de zona de descanso para nuemerosas aves migratorias. También es zona de cría para la Kuhreiher.

Zugang
It is a very easily accessible promenade, with numerous parking spaces at the entrance and close to the Astillero core. Click on the P in the map for directions. The path is easy to walk, mostly flat and paved, with benches at certain points along the way. It has an area of dirt road that you can enter if you want to go into the woods. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 2 km.

Espagnol: Se trata de un paseo (2 km) de muy fácil acceso, con numerosas plazas de aparcamiento en la entrada y cercano al núcleo de Astillero. El camino es sencillo de recorrer, mayoritariamente llano y asfaltado, con bancos en cierto puntos del recorrido. Cuenta con una zona de camino de tierra en la que puedes entrar si quieres adentrarte en el bosquecillo.
