Les Basses d'en Coll is an important wetland reserve with 191 species seen. Winter wildfowl including Moorente, Rosaflamingo, Purpurhuhn, Löffler and Wasserralle. Gulls including Mittelmeermöwe. Also Purpurreiher, Drosselrohrsänger, Bergpieper, Habichtsadler, Habicht and Gänsegeier. Sepiasturmtaucher and Balearensturmtaucher offshore. In the fields and trees Nachtigall, Blauracke, Haubenlerche and Wellenastrild.

Zugang
Reserve is a 8 km walk south from Estartit along the beach. By car it's 19 km. From the main road between Palafrugell to Torroella, head east at Mas Carles and look for viewing platform. There are campsites north and south. The beach gets busy so summer visits are not recommended. No buses nearby.
