Laguna Primera de Palos is a natural freshwater lagoon that holds water all year round. The lagoon attracts a very interesting group of some sought-after species. Among the birds that can be seen are Weißkopf-Ruderente, Moorente, Kolbenente, Purpurhuhn, Kammbläßhuhn, Purpurreiher, Rallenreiher, Seidenreiher, Beutelmeise, and Fischadler.

La Laguna is located on land owned by Cepsa, which in 2000 collaborated with the Junta de Andalucía in restoration work of the lagoon. You can park near the lagoon. Click on the P in the map to get directions to the parking. From the parking it is a 500 meter walk to the bird hide on the western end of the lagoon.
