Cañón del Río Bailón is a good place for observing rock birds, birds of prey and passerines. The canyon is also very interesting geologically. It is located in the Subbética Natural Park with other points of ornithological interest. Among the birds you can encounter are Habichtsadler, Steinsperling, Gänsegeier, Uhu, Wanderfalke, Trauersteinschmätzer, Blaumerle and Alpenkrähe.

Espagnol: Cañón del Río Bailon, es un barranco estacional que albergua especies muy interesantes y presentes en la zona. Buen lugar para la observación de aves rupícolas, tanto rapaces como aves paseriformes. Se añade además el Lugar de Interés Geológico de este río en este cañón. Se encuentra en el Parque Natural de la Subbética con otros puntos de interés ornitológico.

Cañón del Río Bailón access is from the municipality of Zuheros (Córdoba). From there, an ascending path starts (requires authorization, see below) or it is possible to travel by vehicle to the upper part and access the canyon through this area. The authorized parking is in the town of Zuheros itself or in the parking lot of the Cueva de los Murcielágos ecomuseum. Click on the P in the map for directions.

Espagnol: El acceso se realiza desde el municipio de Zuheros (Córdoba). Desde el mismo parte un sendero en ascenso (requiere autorización) o bien es posible el traslado con vehículo a parte alta y acceder por esta zona al cañon. El aparcamiento habilitado está en el mismo pueblo de Zuheros o en el parkíng del ecomuseo de la Cueva de los Murcielágos.

Access to the area requires environmental authorization, although observation from the outside on the way up to the Cueva de los Murciélagos does not require it. To request authorization, it can be done on the Junta de Andalucia website. See the link below.
