Beschreibung
Belo Brdo ('White Hill') is a Neolithic archeological site (4000 B.C.) in Vinča that is also a great place for gull watching. Thousands of gulls come to the Danube River near Vinča in winter. Slower Danube waters near Belo Brdo and nearby Belgrade city's main landfill are two locations where gulls gather at most. Between these two locations is a 'gull highway', with a myriad of gulls flying in both directions over the hilly slopes of Vinča.
Lachmöwe, Mittelmeermöwe, and Steppenmöwe are common in winter, while Sturmmöwe and Heringsmöwe are very often spotted. Although they are pretty rare in Serbia, occasional sightings of Silbermöwe and Mantelmöwe, are not uncommon in Vinča.
