Żwirownia Brzegi has a large colony of Lachmöwe on the island, and Zwergseeschwalbe and Flußseeschwalbe also nest there. The terrain is varied: shrubs, grasses, deciduous trees, ponds. Among the other birds you can encounter are Nilgans, Turmfalke, Gänsesäger, Drosselrohrsänger, Schwarzhalstaucher and Gimpel.
