An interesting birding area along the river Wisla near the village of Nowy Wiączemin. Observations can be made from the road, through the fields, the flood embankment and on the river bank. There is a small pond by the road, overgrown with trees and bushes. A dirt road leads among trees along the road to the embankment, through agricultural fields. The river bank is overgrown with reeds and waterside vegetation. These are the birds I observed in spring and autumn: Höckerschwan, Gänsesäger, Fasan, Türkentaube, Lachmöwe, Flußseeschwalbe, Kormoran, Silberreiher, Seeadler, Mäusebussard, Eisvogel, Buntspecht, Saatkrähe, Nebelkrähe, Elster, Blaumeise, Kohlmeise, Star, Wacholderdrossel and Grünfink.

Polski: Obserwacje można prowadzić od drogi, przez pola, wał przeciwpowodziowy do brzegu rzeki. Przy drodze jest niewielki staw, obrośnięty drzewami i krzewami. Wzdłuż drogi do wału, przez pola uprawne prowadzi droga gruntowa wśród drzew. Brzeg rzeki zarośnięty trzciną, roślinnością nadwodną. Idąc, cały czas słyszalne są śpiewy ptaków - bez względu na porę roku (byłem tam wczesną wiosną, przed migracjami i jesienią, w zasadzie po migracjach).

Zugang
The area is located along the river Wisla near the village of Nowy Wiączemin. Access by car, or by bike, along the road along the flood embankment. No designated parking spaces. You can stop on the side of the road. Observations are best carried out on foot. This makes it easier to observe birds.

Polski: Dojazd samochodem, można też rowerem, drogą wzdłuż wału przeciwpowodziowego. Brak wyznaczonych miejsc parkingowych. Można zatrzymać się na poboczu. Obserwacje najlepiej prowadzić poruszając się pieszo. Łatwiej wtedy zaobserwować przelatujące i lądujące ptaki.

I visited this place twice - in early spring and in the middle of autumn - basically before and after migration. I only have listed the names of the birds I saw. There are probably many other species of birds there, especially since the nature reserve Ławice Troszyńskie is nearby and the area is part of the Natura 2000 area.

Polski: Byłem w tym miejscu dwukrotnie - wczesną wiosną oraz w środku polskiej jesieni - w zasadzie przed i po migracjach. Podałem nazwy tylko tych ptaków, które widziałem. Prawdopodobnie bywa tam wiele innych gatunków ptaków wodnych i polnych, zwłaszcza, że w pobliżu znjaduje się rezerwat przyrody "Ławice troszyńskie" oraz teren ten znajduje się na obszarze Natura 2000.
