Beschreibung
Łazienki Park is spacious and full of life. Best to visit in the morning when people are not there yet. Note that it's open from 6 am. Two pairs of Waldkauz can be heard at night. If you ask a local birder they will be happy to show you where they spend their day. Mandarinente, Gänsesäger and Stockente nest in the park. A pair of Kolkrabe breed here every year as well.
The park is known for the many woodpecker species that can be seen here. It's difficult not to see Grünspecht, Buntspecht and Mittelspecht on your visit. If you have a bit more luck you might see Kleinspecht, Schwarzspecht or a Blutspecht. Various songbirds breed here, Kleiber is very common. In May and June you might spot a Trauerschnäpper or Grauschnäpper in the part of the park where horses used to be held.
