The Jezioro Dominickie lake is of importance for many birds. This 384 hectare reservoir is connected by a system of canals with other nearby lakes. Geese (with a predominance of Graugans), Bläßhuhn and various species of ducks (including Trauerente and Samtente), as well as Sterntaucher and Prachttaucher, Haubentaucher, Schwarzhalstaucher, Ohrentaucher and Zwergsäger winter in great numbers. Of the birds of prey, it is not uncommon to see Seeadler, sometimes Wanderfalke.

Observations are best made from the southern side of the lake (also due to sunlight). An unpaved pedestrian and bicycle path runs along the lake shore.
