You can find a Rohrschwirl here resounding in the extensive reed beds. As well as listen to the singing of a Ortolan and a Nachtigall on the edge of the forest. If you are lucky, you may even notice an Waldohreule flying silently over the local fields. The forest itself also hides many interesting species such as Waldbaumläufer, Waldlaubsänger and Sommergoldhähnchen.
If you are here in autumn, you can expect waders, which include Bruchwasserläufer, Grünschenkel and Flußuferläufer. The river itself also has a lot to offer, Gänsesäger and numerous Höckerschwan breed here. In the morning, the loud cry of the Kranich resounds here, as it brings out its nests here. Dolina Prosny is located directly northwest of the town of Kalisz. The easiest way is to park in one of the nearby parking lots or take public transport (Bażancia pętla) where city buses run. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. It's quite a large area. To get an idea of the distances: The walk from the parking to the observation tower is about 3 km one way.
