Våtmark Ilene is a wetland area where migrating birds rest, when they return after wintertime, but also in summer and during autumn migration. The birds can be observed from the path or from the bird observation tower. There is a small visitor center (Besøkssenter Våtmark Ilene) also with a small garden, open some sundays, and they serve coffee and waffles. Among the birds you can encounter are Goldammer, Rohrammer, Brandgans, Weißwangengans, Krickente, Eiderente, Schellente, Mittelsäger, Grünschenkel, Rotschenkel, Flußuferläufer, Flußseeschwalbe, Feldlerche, Flußregenpfeifer, Heringsmöwe and Sprosser.
