Beschreibung

The mussel beds in this part of the Wadden Sea are a good feeding ground for birds like Eiderente , Schwarzhalstaucher and, in winter, Sterntaucher and/or Trottellumme . When you're lucky, you may find a Ohrentaucher or a Rothalstaucher between the numerous Schwarzhalstaucher , that gather here after the breeding season.

Nederlands: Dit gebied, dat 's middags het best bezocht kan worden vanwege de lichtomstandigheden, herbergt vaak interessante (overwinterende) zeevogels. De mosselbanken in dit deel van de Waddenzee zijn een goede voedselplek voor vogels als Eiderente, Schwarzhalstaucher en in de winter Sterntaucher en / of Trottellumme. Als je geluk hebt, vind je misschien een Ohrentaucher of een Rothalstaucher tussen de talrijke Schwarzhalstaucher, die hier na het broedseizoen samenkomen.

Zugang

There is a parking lot along the IJsdijk and a maintenance road as well as a staircase going over the dike. Most of the birds can easily be seen from the dike. In winter, it may be interesting to search the outer rocks for Strandpieper and Schneeammer.

Nederlands: Er is een parkeerplaats langs de IJsdijk en een onderhoudsweg en een trap over de dijk. De meeste vogels zijn vanaf de dijk goed te zien. In de winter kan het interessant zijn om in de buitenste rotsen te zoeken naar Strandpieper en Schneeammer.
