The salt pans of San Teodoro are part of the Laguna dello Stagnone Nature Reserve. The Saline di San Teodoro are located opposite the northern end of Isola Grande, the largest island in the Laguna dello Stagnone Nature Reserve. The salt pans are easy accessible and rich in birds. Among the birds you can see are Rosaflamingo, Stelzenläufer, Seeregenpfeifer, Brandgans, Großer Brachvogel, Kampfläufer, Bruchwasserläufer, Dünnschnabelmöwe, Zwergseeschwalbe, Brandseeschwalbe, Löffler and Grauammer.

You can walk along the western, northern and eastern edges of the salt pans. You can park on the western side of the saltpans near San Teodoro beach. You can also park on the eastern side. Click on a P in the map to get directions to that point.
