The mouth of the river Cedrino is located at the northern end of the Gulf of Orosei and attracts many birds. The river is wedged on two sides between agricultural fields. From the banks and from the beach you can watch the birds on the river and on the peninsula that lies in the river. Among the birds you can see are Rosaflamingo, Zwergtaucher, Seeregenpfeifer, Sandregenpfeifer, Mittelmeermöwe, Krähenscharbe, Seidenreiher, Rohrweihe, Eisvogel, Steinschmätzer and Samtkopf-Grasmücke.

Italiano: La foce del fiume Cedrino e la palude di Osalla, che comprende lo stagno Petrosu e quello di Avale, si collocano all’estremità settentrionale del golfo di Orosei, ad sud-est dell’omonimo centro abitato. In particolare l’area stagnale interessa una fascia più o meno ristretta, che si sviluppa parallelamente alla costa, dalle località di S. Maria di Mare (Foce del fiume Cedrino) sino in prossimità della caletta di Osalla. Questa zona paludosa è quindi compresa nella piana costiera di Orosei ed è direttamente legata alla dinamica fluviale del Cedrino.
