The Biotopo Risorgive di Flambro is a protected natural area covering 73 hectares and comprising a system of typical wetland habitats (cladiets, peat bogs, wet meadows, brome meadows, and wooded areas). The flora and fauna are very rich. The site is of significant ornithological interest due to the presence of important species, including various herons, such as the Purpurreiher, the Zwergdommel (also a nesting species), the Nachtreiher, the Rohrdommel, the Silberreiher, and the Seidenreiher. Birds of prey include the Kornweihe and Wiesenweihe (which nest in the area), the Rohrweihe, and others. Spring is ideal for observing migratory and nesting species.

Biotopo Risorgive di Flambro is located 25 km southwest of Udine, close to the village of Flambro. The area features a 2,5 km circular trail with walkways and observation points. Parking is available on the road near the Mulino Braida. Press P on the map for directions to the parking spot.
