Beschreibung
Hopeland is part of the Wexford Harbour and Slobs special protection area and in winter it regularly holds nationally important numbers of Ringelgans and Brandgans.
Low tide is best for the most variety of species, particularly waders, but high tide is also good for large roosting flocks and for ducks such as Schellente, Eisente and Mittelsäger. Merlin can be readily encountered in the area in winter, while Kornweihe can also be observed on occasion.
