With its rich variety of old and diverse trees, City Park stands out as one of the best spots for quick and easy urban birdwatching, offering a rare green escape in the heart of Tehran's sprawling urban landscape. Spring and autumn are the best time to visit the park, as there is a chance to find rare migratory bird species like, Tienschan-Laubsänger, Gelbbrauen-Laubsänger, Maskenwürger and Halbringschnäpper.

Tehran City Park is easily accessible due to its central location in the city. It is just a 10-minute walk from Imam Khomeini Metro Station, and the Fayyazbakhsh Bus Terminal is conveniently situated on the northern side of the park.
