This site and the surrounding area is excelent for Zwergohreule, Waldohreule and, nearby, Steinkauz and Schleiereule. On the church roof, heading towards Skala Kalloni, a Weißstorch nest is located. Other species include warblers, buntings and larks.

Papiana is a small village Between Skala Kalloni and Kerami and can be reached from the Kallonis to Eresou road. Parking on one of the small sideroads making sure you don't block access to anywhere. Head for the Olive Groves viewed from opposite the school and playground.
