The Steenodder Kliff is an important resting and breeding site as part of the national park "Schleswig-Holsteinisches Wattenmeer". Depending on the season, good observation possibilities of Eiderente , Austernfischer , Rotschenkel , Steinwälzer , Brandgans , Ringelgans , Weißwangengans and Pfeifente (only in winter). Geese and ducks also often graze in the adjacent wetland meadows.
