Sporthafen Lörick is an open area along the river with scattered deciduous trees and some deadwood. The Rhine flows on one side, a small lake and a marina on the other. The area is a flood zone, the water level varies depending on the season. Birds you can observe include Eisvogel, Haubentaucher, Zwergtaucher, Gänsesäger, Krickente, Buntspecht, Stieglitz, Schwanzmeise, Mäusebussard, Turmfalke, and Kormoran.
