Beschreibung
The river Elz near the town of Köndringen was restored in 2017 as a compensation site for railway construction. The newly restored river gives home species like Eisvogel and Flußregenpfeifer. Also Gänsesäger and Graureiher can be regularly observed here. During migration season Waldwasserläufer or Bekassine can be observed along the river or the wet meadows. Even rarer species like Seidenreiher or Nachtreiher have already been observed here.
