Beschreibung
The shallow water ponds of nature reserve Rieselfelder Nottuln-Appelhülsen are of particular importance as moulting, resting and breeding places for waders and waterfowl. It is also a habitat that is particularly valuable for endangered plant and animal species. Among the birds you can encounter in the area are Rohrammer, Bläßgans, Weißwangengans, Krickente. Zwergtaucher, Kuckuck, Austernfischer, Kiebitz, Flußregenpfeifer and Schilfrohrsänger.

Zugang
The nature reserve is located directly to the south of the village of Appelhülsen. It can be reached by bicycle and car. Parking nearby. Click on the P in the map for directions. From the parking it is a short walk to the bird hide.
