Beschreibung
The Odinsloch belongs to the Nationalpark Wattenmeer (Wadden Sea National Park). At the Odinsloch ditches have been extended into wet areas. Breeding islands have been installed and wading areas were created. The meadows are used by various meadow birds as a breeding area and in winter by geese as a resting and wintering area. It is easy to observe birds like Uferschnepfe, Austernfischer, Kampfläufer, Bekassine, Löffler, Kiebitz, Rotschenkel, Sandregenpfeifer and Alpenstrandläufer. But during migration also more rare species of waders can be spotted. In addition, the area serves as a hunting ground for birds of prey, such as the Rohrweihe.
