Beschreibung
The nature reserve Niedermoorwiesen am Tegeler Fließ is located in one of the most beautiful landscapes in Berlin. Due to the construction of the Berlin wall, the area was inaccessible for a long time. The many different biotopes attract many birds. The landscape is characterized by reed beds, oxbow lakes, damp meadows, alder forest and water bodies. On the higher-lying areas, meadows and pastures as well as hedges and old orchards with a wide variety of varieties are part of the nature reserve. You can also observe waterfowl at the adjoining lake Köppchensee. Among the birds you can encounter are Pirol, Wendehals, Sperbergrasmücke, Fischadler, Rotmilan, Schwarzmilan and Dorngrasmücke.
