Beschreibung
The Meiner Stapelteiche area consists of several small ponds with extensive reed beds and shoreline areas, as well as open water and a small wooded area. This structure offers good conditions for a variety of bird species.
Waterfowl such as Höckerschwan, Stockente, Krickente, Löffelente, Graugans, Brandgans and other water birds can be well observed. Also waders like Uferschnepfe, Grünschenkel and Waldwasserläufer use the area as a rest area. The large reedbeds are suitable for species such as Rohrammer and Blaukehlchen. During migration, the area is attractive to migratory birds. Birds of prey such as Mäusebussard or Rotmilan frequently circle over the surrounding fields and meadows.
