Beschreibung
The Langwieser See is a small lake. The lake itself isn't very good for birding, but sometimes you can spot Eisvogel there. In the reed area about 100 meters east of the lake, in winter you can see for example Rohrammer and sometimes also Wasserralle. In summer it's full of Teichrohrsänger. West to the lake, there are nice water reservoirs, which in winter often contain Zwergschnepfe (best to spot with a thermal imaging camera), and sometimes Bekassine.
South to the reservoirs, there is a smal bush land with Goldammer, Stieglitz and in winter often Bergfink. In the gardens and trees along the small stream you can find Erlenzeisig in winter and Gartenrotschwanz and Dorngrasmücke in summer. Sometimes you can also hear a Nachtigall here.
Very good are the fields around the whole area. During migration you can see Wiesenpieper, Sumpfrohrsänger, Schwarzkehlchen (sometimes also staying over winter), Habicht, Steinschmätzer, Wiesenschafstelze, Klappergrasmücke and rarely Wendehals, Kiebitz and Kornweihe. All year round you will find Bluthänfling, Feldlerche, Graureiher and Turmfalke. Sometimes you can also see Rebhuhn, Sperber or Wanderfalke.
