Beschreibung
Grube Cox has mixed forest with lakes and ponds. Schnatterente, Tafelente and Kormoran spend the winter on the lakes. Misteldrossel can be seen in the poplars on the edges of the lake. In the forest, with a bit of luck, there are Kleinspecht , Mittelspecht, Kernbeißer and Gimpel.
In winter Rotdrossel and Bergfink can also be seen. At night you can see Waldschnepfe, hear Waldkauz call and very occasionally Uhu. During migration I saw Fischadler hunt, but it is rare to observe them here. From a herpetological point of view, it is also worth a visit, as you can observe sand lizards, grass snakes and common midwife toad here.
