Beschreibung
Böhmerweiher consists of two lakes. The smaller lake supports Zwergtaucher, Teichhuhn and Bläßhuhn. Krickente overwinter here. The larger lake often attracts visiting waterfowl in the winter: Graugans, Schnatterente, Haubentaucher, more rarely Pfeifente, Brandgans or Gänsesäger. Eisvogel fish in both ponds.
In the gravel areas and streams surrounding the lakes Goldammer and Fitis sing from the bushes. Grünspecht feed on the ants. Wasserralle skulks on the banks. Teichrohrsänger and Rohrammer populate the reeds in the spring and summer. Occasional visitors like the Wiedehopf can surprise you by stopping to rest during their migration.
Bekassine sometimes forage in the wet fields surrounding Böhmerweiher. And sometimes Wanderfalke hunt for prey.
