Marais du Douhet is particularly interesting because it brings together a great diversity of species, sometimes in high density and at all times of the year.
Among the nesting birds are the Rotschenkel, the Stelzenläufer, the Seidensänger, the Zistensänger, the Turmfalke or the Brandgans. During migration, the Thorshühnchen or the Hausrotschwanz are passing through. In winter, Ringelgans, Goldregenpfeifer and Kiebitz are stationed on the site.
All year round shorebirds, ducks, gulls, herons, grebes and many others are present.
