Along the river Ognon and the forest and lakes of Bonnal many bird species can be observed. Especially Bienenfresser, Rotmilan, Girlitz, Schwarzmilan and Eisvogel. In summer it is also possible to see big groups of Weißstorch en Mäusebussard. The best way to see birds at the river L'Ognon is by canoe, you can see many groups of Bienenfresser breeding. Other birds you can see in the area are Mittelspecht, Grünspecht and Wespenbussard.
