Lac du Pêcher is a lake with a surrounding nature reserve that is part of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Natural Park. Its area is 20.22 hectares and its altitude is 1,142 meters. The valley of Lac du Pêcher is protected because of the special flora and fauna. Birds that breed in the area are Heidelerche, Bekassine, Tafelente, Zistensänger, Rohrammer, Wasserralle, Kiebitz and Zwergtaucher. Other birds you can encounter are Flußuferläufer, Fischadler, Rotmilan, Schwarzmilan, Rohrweihe, Neuntöter, Kolkrabe, Braunkehlchen, Mönchsgrasmücke, Gartengrasmücke and Schwarzkehlchen.

Sa superficie est de 20,22 hectares et son altitude est de 1 142 mètres. Le vallon du lac du Pêcher a été déclaré Zone naturelle d'intérêt écologique, faunistique et floristique (ZNIEFF), espace naturel inventorié en fonction de son caractère remarquable. Le département l'a ensuite classé Espace naturel sensible.
