Etang de la Commanderie is particularly interesting for the diversity of passerines that can be observed there (including Goldammer, Rohrammer, Schwarzkehlchen, Zistensänger, and Bluthänfling). Other interesting species such as the Turteltaube can also be seen, and during migration periods, there are quite a few waders on the water. It's a relatively under-explored spot, so the site hasn't yet revealed its full potential!

Français: Petit plan d'eau en bordure de champs et d'un bois. Spot intéressant du fait de cette diversité de milieu, notamment en période de migration. Spot particulièrement intéressant pour la diversité de passereaux qu'on peut y observer (entre autres, Bruant jaune, Bruant des roseaux, Tarier pâtre, Cisticole des joncs, Linotte mélodieuse...). Egalement d'autres espèces intéressantes comme la Tourterelle des bois et lors des périodes de migrations, pas mal de limicoles sur le plan d'eau. C'est un spot relativement sous-prospécté donc le site n'a pas encore révélé tout son potentiel !

Etang de la Commanderie lies within the Bièvre valley, south‑west of Paris, just southeast of the town of Guyancourt. Access by car is not ideal; parking might be possible to the south in the hamlet of Villaroy near the golf course, otherwise, ideally, come on foot to the north along the path that runs alongside the Guyancourt canal. It's very doable by bike, and you can easily continue on to the Minière lakes trail.

Français: Accès en voiture pas idéal, peut-être possible de se garer au sud dans le hameau de Villaroy près du golf sinon idéalement venir à pieds au nord par le chemin qui longe la rigole de guyancourt. Se fait très bien à vélo et possibilité d'enchainer avec la chaine des étangs de la Minière.
