Combe Lavaux is a nature reserve, that is mainly covered by forest. With impressive limestone cliffs, that are home to Wanderfalke and in winter occasionally Mauerläufer. There are also a few semi-open spaces such as dry scrubland with common box or calcerous grasslands, that are interesting from a botanical standpoint. Wespenbussard, Schlangenadler, Grauspecht, Berglaubsänger and Kolkrabe have been suspected to breed in the area. They are all rare breeding birds in the departement, which makes the area special. With some luck you might also spot a chamois on the cliffs and slopes. Please strictly stay on the trail, since the area is sensitive and home to rare plants.

Combe Lavaux is situated just west of the village of Gevrey-Chambertin and 12 km south of Dijon. The reserve has a parking place, press P on the map for directions to the parking. The circular trail is about 5,5 km.
