In spring and fall, Anse du Galon d'Or is a good spot for Fischadler. In the reeds, you can observe Zistensänger and Wasserralle. While in the marshland, with a bit of luck, you may see Provencegrasmücke. There are also Regenbrachvogel, Seidenreiher, Schwarzkehlchen and, during migration species such as Braunkehlchen and Steinschmätzer.
In the neighboring pine trees, Trauerschnäpper and Grauschnäpper hunt during migration, as well as Gartenrotschwanz, Fitis and other species. Brachpieper can be observed in the dunes. At high tide, gulls, terns and groups of limicoles come onto the beach. Note that you have to take a different route along the inside of the bay at high tide. See a link to the tide table below.

Zugang
Anse du Galon d'Or is located west of the town of Ronce-les-Bains. You can park on the Parking du Galon d'Or. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. There is also a beautiful cycle path (Parcours Vélo N°4) through the forest (forêt domaniale de la Coubre). The circular route shown on the map is about 2 km.
