The lake of Hindemade Sø has several small islands for ground nesting birds and the area is a gorgeous spot for waders and meadow birds. Flußregenpfeifer, Eisvogel and Säbelschnäbler are seen and birds of prey regularly sweep the area. For example Seeadler that nest further east near Haderslev Fjord are often seen over Hindemade. Rotmilan is also often seen at Hindemade.

Zugang
Parking lot at the end of Hindemadevej. Click on the P in the map for directions. Round trip around the lake is about 4 km, but there are plenty of trails in the forest as well. So if you are up for more, have a look around.
