This area along the Vltava River is not a very beautiful place, but you can find some interesting birds there and there are many ducks and swans on this part of the river. Mandarinente is common. Also common are Reiherente, Zwergtaucher, Höckerschwan, Stockente, Lachmöwe, Eisvogel, Hausrotschwanz and Grünspecht. In winter Steppenmöwe and Kormoran are regulars. If you have a bit of luck, you can also find Schnatterente. In the winter, some rarer ducks like Löffelente, Pfeifente, Schellente, Gänsesäger or Kolbenente can be found there.

This area of the river is located 8 km south from the city center of Prague. Easy to reach from Prague by tram.
