The Krupa Monastery is one of the oldest Orthodox monasteries in Croatia. It has a lovely setting along the Krupa river. The river, grasslands, agricultural fields en wooded parts are attractive to birds. The vegetation along the river is a good place to search for Balkanmeise. Other birds that you can encounter in the area are Grauammer, Mönchsgrasmücke, Gartengrasmücke, Grauschnäpper, Pirol, Bluthänfling and Weißbart-Grasmücke.

The Krupa Monastery is located 70 km inland from Zadar. You can park right in front of the monastery. Click on the P in the map for directions. From the parking you can explore the area on foot along the roads.
