Goritsa Forest is a place with easy access and is a nice woodland on a almost flat terrain, where Halbringschnäpper breeds. Presence of standing and fallen dead wood provides excellent conditions for Mittelspecht, Kleinspecht, Buntspecht, Grauspecht, Grünspecht and Schwarzspecht, but also Waldlaubsänger, Gartenrotschwanz and Baumpieper. The site is situated on the migratory flyway of storks, pelicans and birds of prey which can be observed from some of the open areas around.
