Very good mosaic of different habitats, providing suitable conditions for big variety of birds of different groups. Traditional and nature friendly agriculture practices allowed presence of birds as Blauracke, Wiedehopf, Schwarzstirnwürger, Steinkauz and other. The cliffs on the slopes provide nesting sites to the Felsenkleiber, Schwarzstorch, Kolkrabe and other. On the stony and bushy slopes Chukarhuhn, Maurensteinschmätzer, Olivenspötter, Weißbart-Grasmücke, Samtkopf-Grasmücke and Östliche Orpheusgrasmücke can be seen. Kurzfangsperber keeps to the tree belts along the river, where Baumfalke can be observed, too. Weißstorch nests in the little hamlets in the area are nesting sites of the Weidensperling.

Drive North from the village of Gorna Kula on the road 50909 and along the Krumovitsa River and explore the different parts of the valley till the village of Dolna Kula, where are the cliffs with most of the birds to be seen.
