Beschreibung
As most of the capes, Emine provides specific conditions for concentrating interesting bird species. Most of the territory consist of open grasslands on a gentle slope, but with good coverage of bushes and oak trees. Kurzzehenlerche, Heidelerche, Isabellsteinschmätzer and other can be seen on the pastures. Balkanmeise, Zaunammer, Östliche Orpheusgrasmücke, Olivenspötter, Samtkopf-Grasmücke and Weißbart-Grasmücke, Braunkehlchen and other birds of southern origin can be observed amongst the bushes and trees. On the cliffs Zippammer and Nonnensteinschmätzer breed. The little village (Emona) is the place to observe the Blutspecht or Hausrotschwanz. The cape offers excellent sea-watching possibilities, which can produce Mittelmeer-Sturmtaucher, Schmarotzerraubmöwe, loons and other sea birds. Big variety of species pass at the cape during both autumn and spring migration.

Zugang
From E87 turn to the East toward Irakli and before reaching the resort turn South on a marked cross-road, then follow the road. Most of the road from the crossroad to the cape is in very bad condition, but entirely accessable by a car. Arriving at the cape, follow the unpaved road to the fence of the light house, where there is lot of space to park.
