The area of Romboutswerve is part of a large meadow complex close to the sea. In the bumpy grassland there are also numerous drainage ditches. In this area migratory and wintering birds such as Kurzschnabelgans, Bläßgans and Pfeifente can be seen. Among the breeding birds in the area are Kiebitz , Uferschnepfe and Brandgans.
