Mixed forest with some old beech lanes. Woodpeckers like Schwarzspecht and Kleinspecht breed here as well as Habicht and other birds of prey. In spring you may experience a real concert of song birds: warblers, thrushes, tits, Trauerschnäpper and Wintergoldhähnchen, while in winter, there's different species of finches and if you're lucky you may see an Waldschnepfe hiding beneath the bushes or gulls, Heidelerche and Schwarzkehlchen on the surrounding fields.

Ideally done by foot, especially the smaller paths that are very interesting. The bigger roads are also ideal for cycling. You can park your car next to the crucifix in the Veldkruisstraat.
