The Kreekebeek river flows through the area and is a great spot for waterfowl, like Krickente, Pfeifente and Löffelente. The surrounding pastures are good for flocks of Kiebitz. In winter, these pastures are part of the hunting grounds for Kornweihe. In winter, area is also good for Singschwan.
