Parc Bryn Bach is a country park with lake. Isfugl nest sites on the island. The area also has a Digesvale colony. Sanglærke, Rød Glente, Toppet Lappedykker, Troldand. Occasional rarity, eg Lille Bjergand in 2013. The moors to the south, with footpath access, rise to 450 metres, look for possible Vestlig Sortstrubet Bynkefugl, Stenpikker, Natravn, Musvåge, Ravn, Engpiber, Gøg, Vandstær or Bjergvipstjert.
From A465 Heads of the Valleys road, take Tredegar turning, then first right on minor road for half a mile. Car park on the left. Click on the P in the map for directions. Buses from Abergavenny or Cardiff. No train station nearby.
