Description

Hainault Forest is an ancient woodland that was once a royal hunting forest. Together with the land owned by the London Borough of Redbridge, it makes up the larger whole known as Hainault Forest Country Park. A good open area with a lake which is surrounded by the old forest habitat. There is also a visitors building with a cafe.

Almost 160 bird species have been recorded. As you wander among the stately oaks and hornbeams, watch out for Fuglekonge, Skovsanger, Stor Flagspætte, Grønspætte, Havesanger, Dompap, Sydlig Nattergal, Gøg, Kvækerfinke or the rare Turteldue.
