Description
Ulvsbomuren nature reserve is a large and varied area with a sense of wilderness. There are dark spruce forests, light aspen groves, vast marshlands and still lakes. In the area there are dead fir trees at different stages of decomposition. They are an important habitat for many different species, ranging from lichens, mosses and fungi to insects and birds that find their food and nesting place in the dead trees. You can observe birds that thrive in forests, marshes and reed lakes such as Sortspætte, Fyrremejse, Gråspætte, Stor Tornskade, Sortmejse, Grønirisk, Dompap, Topmejse, Halemejse, Fuglekonge, Grønspætte and Urfugl.
