Description
The Lillfjärden lake is primarily known for its geese. Bramgås, Grågås, and Canadagås all breed. The lake also holds the entire swedish non-breeding population of Dværggås. Other geese like Blisgås, Sædgås, Kortnæbbet Gås can often be found. Some years Tundrasædgås and Knortegås are also found during migration periods.
The lakes rocky coast is also often home to waders like Sortklire, Rødben, Lille Præstekrave (breeds), Strandskade (breeds), and Brushane. The lake holds large amounts of Gråand and smaller amounts of other dabbling ducks. Even species which are rare in northern areas like Knarand, Skeand and Atlingand. Smaller amounts of diving ducks can often be found. Wintering Silkehale and Krognæb are often found. Although the numbers vary widely.

Access
The lake lies directly north to the center of Hudiksvall. There are many places to park the car. Click on the P in the map to get directions. You can make a circular walk around the lake (2,5 km).
