Description
The 1 km circular walk around the lake of Havstenasjön gives a good glance into an eutrophicated bird lake with reeds. Situated in an urban area it is easy to reach. The reeds in the middle of the lake host a colony of Hættemåge as well as several other species such as Nordisk Lappedykker, Toppet Lappedykker, Rørsanger, Lille Lappedykker, Rørhøne and Blishøne.

Access
Havstenasjön is located on the northern outskirts of the town of Skövde. The lake is easy to access with walkpaths and roads situated around the lake. A walk around the lake gives the best experience and from the marked sighting point one sees most of the lake. You see the birds well with an ordinary binocular if you stay on the surrounding permanent paths, bicycle roads and roads.
