Gäddängen is a wetland by Lake Ringsjön and a popular resting place for water birds, especially during the spring and autumn.
Gäddängen is a wetland that is part of Fulltofta farm nature reserve. The landscape is varying with deep woodland, open glades and pasture, wide heath land and mighty oak trees, small and big ponds and many little streams. At the shore of Lake Ringsjön there is a tall bird tower and out on nunnäsuddens south bank a smaller bird tower. Of nesting birds there are species such as Rørhøg, Isfugl, Natravn, Trane and Vibe. A number of birds, such as Blå Kærhøg, Fiskeørn, Rød Glente, Sangsvane and Bramgås use Fulltofta and Ringsjön as a resting place. But also bird species such as Rødtoppet Fuglekonge, Purpurhejre, Sorthalset Lappedykker and Sort Stork have been seen in the reserve.
From the road 13 between Höör and Hörby there are sign posts toward Fulltofta Nature and Visitor Centre. At the weekend, bus 469 goes all the way to the Nature and Visitor centre of Fulltofta. Weekdays, bus 470 stops along road 13. From Ramstorp Fulltofta, it is about 1,5 km to the Nature and Visitor Centre. There are plenty of hiking trails from 1 to 16 km. To only visit the Gäddängen wetland click on the P in the map to het directions to the Gäddängen parking place. From the parking place it's about 1 km to the birdwatchtower.
