Description
Femöre Huvud is located high and has a good view towards the island Vinterklasen where Alk can be observed. The fairway adjacent to Oxelösund and Norrköping passes in from the outer archipelago where Hävringe (former pilot station) can be seen on the horizon. The spring migration is mainly dominated by Ederfugl, Gravand and Rovterne. The autumn migration can be impressive with ducks, birds of prey, swallows, finches and pigeons. The observations are quite dependent on the wind direction, with onshore winds the birds fly closer to land. Winter time observations are dependent on the ice situation and access to open water. There can be large numbers of Havlit, Ederfugl, Troldand, occasional Lille Skallesluger, Sortstrubet Lom and Toppet Lappedykker. At the edge of the beach there are sometimes some Vandstær.
